The Tablets are Coming

Tablets – Share what you think

The Tablets are Coming! The Tablets are Coming! – Remember the movie,
The Russians are Coming!, The Russians are Coming!
The Tablet – It’s lighter and more intuitive to use. If you’ve experienced touch screen technology, (you probably have if you have a cell phone), you’re probably thinking wow that’s pretty cool. The Tablet can do almost as much as a laptop computer can do nowadays.
  • Remember the quill? Then came along the pen, it was so much easier.
  • Remember manual typewriters? Then came along the electric typewriter, it was so much easier.
  • Remember when PCs came along, it was so much easier. Are you following me?

Easter and Technology

Easter and Technology

What do you think would happen when Easter and Technology meet? Would the world be a better place?

So here it is Easter! As I was on my way to the store this morning I was listening to a radio station about Christ and how he rose. Then I started to think, “What if we had all the technology of today back then …..”

Hmmm, that would indeed be interesting. Imagine the amount of press a show stopper like this event would get – imagine all the blogs about this one spectacular event. Then let’s take a look at the women who went to the tomb – Let me see if I can paint the picture for you. Here’s Mary Magdalene along with Mary Mother of Jesus, Mary Mother of James, Salome, JoAnna and perhaps others and they’re all heading over to see Jesus’ body. They’re all either talking to each other, talking on their cell phones and probably texting the apostles and friends on their iphones.

Moving the My Documents folder

Running out of hard disk space and need to move your “My Documents” folder?  Guess what – simply creating a new folder called “My Documents” does not work.  Have you ever wanted to change that location ?  If you ever have you probably went out and bought a new drive then copied and pasted or made a back up and then restored it to where you want the data only to find that it doesn’t work the way you thought it would.

But when created the new location it still takes you to the old folder when you click on the “My Documents” in the start menu or even on the Desktop. That’s because you need to change the Default location of My Documents. All you did by creating a new folder was simply create a new folder.

iPad versus Tablet

iPad versus Xoom

« Dude! I got an iPad! »

I set it up and it is off to the races. First impression of the iPad 2 was it is classy and sophisticated. It’s quick and clean. So, after setting it up, I let my wife take over. She played with it and messed around with it. She sure liked the layout and seemed to suit her well.
